I'm Smiling Today Because....

1. I had a fabulous weekend that consisted of shopping, eating, nice weather, and some one-on-one time with the Hutch man.
2. Hutch got new sunglasses while on our little shopping trip & I think he digs them.
3. Our backyard- Jeremy spruced up our yard this weekend & it looks awesome! We even purchased a hanging plant yesterday & I must say, it looks just perfect swinging in the breeze on our back porch.
4. MSU beat UGA!
5. It was 60 degrees outside this morning- hellllllooooo, fall!!!
6. 60 degrees means tall boots to me. AND, I can guarantee you that if I had a swanky new pair & my work allowed me to wear them, I would be that girl sporting them today.
7. Haley comes home from Thailand in just over a month!!! Woo-hoo!!
8. MSU v. UH 10/9- we will be joining the fam in Houston to watch the game. If I could only see one MSU game this year, I would prefer it to be a home game but doesn't look like we will be making it to Starkille this season. Boo.
9. I'm heading to MS 10/14 for Brandi's baby shower. AND, I will get to take Hutch to the fair while we are in town. I can smell that fair food now. Yuuuummmm.
10. I am 26 weeks this week. Only 14 more to go!
11. Book Club this month- I am hosting which means I picked the book! We are reading/watching Let the Right One In. This is a vampire read & takes place in Sweden. I haven't found the book yet, so I may just be watching the flick (not the creepy, remade US version at your local theaters- I will be watching the original Swedish version). I have already been brain-storming on what yummy fall dishes I can whip up.
12. Fall weather means crockpot time. I plan to stray this season from my normal pot roast & get creative with my crock dishes. Fellow bloggers, I will be scoping your sites for recipes!!

Have a great week, everyone!

3 Years!!!

I would like to dedicate this post to my wonderful husband as we celebrate our 3 year anniversary today! It seems just like yesterday that I was getting my hair and makeup done, getting my pictures made, and walking down the aisle towards my future hubby. The past 3 years have been more than I could have ever asked for. Jeremy, I am so fortunate and blessed to have you not only as my husband, but as the father of my children! I love you TONS and here's to many more happy years together!!!

McKinney Falls

This weekend we took advantage of the extremely warm weather & humidity by heading out to McKinney Falls for a picnic. We had a great time despite the heat! Here are a few pictures I took of Hutch & Jeremy. Can you tell Hutch loves his Dad??

AND, here are a few other pictures that I can't help but throw in....

Check out our cute picnic basket Carly & Marc gave us as a gift for helping host their baby shower! At the time, it was filled with all sorts of goodies that we thoroughly enjoyed. Having such a stylish picnic basket definitely made our experience more enjoyable.

Hutch Dancing

video

For those of you who don't know, Hutch's favorite show is Austin City Limits. He would much rather watch a band perform than a cartoon. He has his favorites, too. Yesterday morning I turned it on for him & he picked up a plastic shovel to use as his guitar so he could play along with the band. The video from above is him rockin' it out to Okkervil River. I laugh out loud everytime I watch this.

The Water Hose

Jeremy was busy watering the back yard last Monday morning & Hutch was quite curious. Jeremy ended up just letting him take over & Hutch had a blast! We were all outside on our back patio around 8:30 AM in our pjs. Hutch couldn't get over how much fun it was to drink out of the hose. Needless to say, he was soaked! Do you remember how much fun it used to be to do this? If not, take a quick peek at these pics & it may bring back some memories....

Key Notes

I am super excited about my Book Club meeting tonight- our book/ movie this month was The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Jeremy & I watched the Swedish movie this weekend & it was AWESOME!!!!!! I can't wait see what they do with the American version. I have to admit that it will be hard to be the one that is already in existance. I am almost finished with the 3rd book- The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. While I am dying to find out what happened, I always hate ending a series. Booo. Oh, well. On to the next, I suppose. I am also excited about bringing my mini "BBT's" (Bacon-basil-tomato sandwiches) as an app.

On another note, I will sure hate missing the MSU-Auburn game- let's hope that MSU can pull out another win!!! GO STATE!

I also wanted to wish my Dad HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope you have an awesome day today & we wish we could be there to spend it with you! Know we will be thinking about you today!

Is anyone else super excited that it's Thursday???? I mean, really, if we could only have 4 day work-weeks every week. That would be just fine with me. Hope you all have a great day & I have some super cute B & W pics I plan to post soon of the little guy. XOXO

Taking the Weekend Off

Happy Labor Day weekend, everyone! I don't know about all of you, but we made it a point to have zero plans & just hang out around the house this weekend. Yesterday, we got up early & headed to Zilker Park to take Hutch on the train. We didn't get on until about 11 & Hutch was super sleepy, so I am not sure he enjoyed as much as we had hoped. Maybe we need to give it a few months. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful morning & I think all 3 of us were excited to just be outside. Here are a few pics from the day.
Hutch making friends on the train.
All smiles as we get ready to take off!

Hutch and Jeremy.
Gotta love Town Lake entertainment! Haley, is this your friend? I thought about yelling out, "Hey, do you remember 'Just the Aunt?'"
It definitely warmed up as the day went on so Hutch decided to cool down by having his first ever popsicle out on the back porch. To say he loved it would be quite the understatement.

Check out the little guy after he woke up after his nap today....I just love those big brown eyes!
We had a great time watching the Dawgs win last night! Go State!!! What a game!I hope that everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!!!!
