Merry Christmas!!!!

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “ Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men." Luke 2: 10-14
Merry Christmas to all of you!

Wedding Bells & Birthday Cake

We had alot of fun celebrating this weekend. We started off celebrating Laura Merrill & Brandon's marriage at their wedding in Greenwood. BTW, definitely need to spend more time in Greenwood- cute little town & maybe just a bit disappointed I didn't have time to take in a toddy at the Alluvian. Regardless, Laura Merrill looked absolutely STUNNING and the ceremony & reception were beautiful. It was great to see my cuz so happy! I had full intentions of taking ALOT of pictures. But, I only managed to get a couple. And they don't even include the bride. If you want to see just how amazing Laura Merrill looked, you can check out a pic or two on her blog. Would you believe that Hutch's crush's band actually played at the reception? Yes, that is a fact. We were so excited (esp Hutch) to see Swing 'de Paris (probably really messed up that spelling) when we entered the reception hall.

Hutch & Paw Paw.

Sweet Hazel entertaining her Lolli. OR is it perhaps the other way around?
Mom, "Mama Henny", Hutch & Hazel. I think Hazel's expression is priceless.

Sunday, we headed over to the Lees' to celebrate Rivers turning the big ONE! Hazel loves her Pop and Uncle Hal. And she loves her shirt that Auntie Alissa made for her!

Happy Birthday, Rivers!
Ollie, Hutch, and Danni...chowing down.

All the kiddos!

Things are certainly gearing up here for Christmas! We are super excited about Carly, Marc, and Ryder coming in next weekend! Yay! Hope all of you have a great week! XOXO!

Texas Tour

How far did y'all drive over Thanksgiving? I think we put 1 million miles on my car. Really. Ok, maybe not. But we drove ALOT. It was all well worth it, however, as we had so much fun hanging out with Jeremy's fam. We were so fortunate to be able to spend the Thanksgiving holiday in Texas. I certainly missed everyone at Luckett, however, we had a ball traveling to Brownwood & Odessa to see those we wish we could see more often. Here are a few pics from our trip:

Hazel's first Thanksgiving meal! She loved it. As in everything. Can you tell??

Hutch made a friend while at Nanny Pat & Paw Paw Bill's. Shame we had to leave him behind. ;)
Check out the creek behind the house- it is completely dry!

Hutch wishing he could catch some fish. And, I felt like I owed you all a sepia. It's been a while, you know.

The only Thanksgiving pic I could manage to get of H & H together

Hazel couldn't wait to get her hands on the Black Friday ads.

WHAT? No Target ad in the Brownwood paper??? I think I had the same expression. Boo!

Love this- Nanny Pat & Paw Paw Bill with the kiddos the day we left. We have a picture of these 4 in the same spot that was taken back in Feb. Those kiddos look a wee bit bigger now. Sniff, sniff.

Hutch being silly

And.......Hazel being silly

The best pic I could get of Nanny Alma & the kiddos in Odessa. I think Hazel is mid-clap and Hutch is eating something (really?!)

Only a true cowboy could pull this look off. And, he is still eating something. His poor wife is certainly going to have to spend some time in the kitchen b/c the way to this boy's heart is food for sure.

I hope you were all surrounded by the ones you love during Thanksgiving!

Mucho Gracias

Alot of my FB friends have been listing out something they are thankful for each day. I love that and wish I had thought of it early enough! I am so thankful for so many things, however, and even though I didn't post a reason each day on Facebook, I am glad I have my blog to share reasons why I am thankful. Here goes:
1) My Husband- he is truly my best friend and I just really love him. Like, ALOT, people. We have so much fun together and he is the first one I go to if I need advice about something. And, he is such a great Dad!
2) H & H- they bring me more joy than I EVER thought possible. They are the light of my life!
3) Sisters- they are such a blessing! I was able to spend a weekend with Carly recently & we laughed so hard. The whole weekend. About stupid stuff. In fact, I call Carly sometimes just to say, "Oh. My.Gosh. I have the funniest story that only you will get." And Haley would have been laughing right along with us, too, if she weren't a million miles away. Love, love, love those girls!
4) My 'rents- so excited to be so close to them now! Yay! It's just an added bonus that they are loads of fun to hang out with!
5) The rest of the fam- I am so thankful for my aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, and friends that are not related to me my blood but might as well be as I think of them as family (ahem, Laura and Shannon). XOXO
6) My Job- I adore my new job. I never thought I would be as happy as I was at E, but I have just hit the jackpot with this one. Although I miss my old coworkers quite often, I am fortunate to have made so many great friends at my new job!
7) Good Neighbors- As in neighbors who will put food on your front porch because they notice your crazy dog has escaped your backyard (again) and may want a bite to eat while he patiently waits for you to get home.
8) My Blog Readers! Ok, I accept and embrace the fact that I don't get many comments. That's ok. Rumor has it, howver, that I actually do have a few people that frequent my blog (Love you, Aunt Lisa!!!!!) and for you, I am truly grateful.
9) Friends- there are always those few people that you really connect with & stick with you through thick & thin. Leahbeth, Alissa, and Jenn- love you ladies and thank God for you daily!
10) Conditioner- may seem random but you wouldn't believe what my hair would like without it. Yikes. I shiver at the thought.
11) My Faith- it's gotten me through alot. I don't know how people get through life without it.
12) Falling leaves- while it may feel like it's 80 degrees outside, you can still tell it's fall by all of the leaves EVERYWHERE. They are covering our front and back yard & I love it!
13) Pizza- I will always be thankful for pizza. And, I think it will always be my fave food. Always.
14) Levi- he drives me nuts but I love that bad dog!
15) Wheels- as in our car. Without it, we wouldn't be able to spend time with Jeremy's family for Thanksgiving!
16) Tall Boots. Need I say more about this?
17) Music. Even little Hazel has started clapping her hands, nodding her head, and bouncing to the beats! We looooooove to "rock on" in the famous words of Hutch.
18) Coffee- I think I drink a little more each day. I have gotten in the horrible habit of fixing me a cup for the trip home from work. Stop me, please!!!! It's so delish. Especially when it's cold outside!
19) A big breakfast- thanks, Dad, you have me spoiled for life!
20) In laws- I have really good ones, btw.
21) Contacts- I can't tell you how thankful I am that I don't have to wear my glasses everyday. You should have seen these pink beauties I had in the 5th grade.
22) Fall Back- as in the time change. Most people hate it but I LOVE IT!
23) Cold Weather- you won't hear me complaining when the temps drop to the 30's! I guess the great thing about everywhere I live is that it can be 30 one day and easily 80 the next. I really should be living somewhere more seasonal. Naaaahhhh.
24) Books- hoping for a Kindle for Christmas!!! I have gotten out of the habit of reading, so I am anxious to pick it back up!
25) DVR. We lost it when me moved to MS. But we have recently found it again. And for that, I am truly thankful. Btw, I am really trying to limit my "trash tv" consumption. I think it's going farily well!
26) Online Shopping! Woo-hoo!!!! (Note: this would NOT be on Jeremy's list, if he were to make one.)
27) To be a Mississippi Resident- so glad to be back home!
28) Utica- so thankful to be back & able to spend time there. And, so thankful that Jeremy loves it just as much as I do!
29) My health
30) Our troops- While this is last on my list, it is certainly not least, as I am truly thankful for all of the troops who have served and are serving so we enjoy the freedoms we have today. There are alot of families who will have loved ones missing this year at their holiday gatherings- may we always remember and be thankful for their many sacrifices!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! May God continue to bless you during this holiday season!

Halloween Fun

We have had a great time gearing up for Halloween this year. Here are Hutch & Hazel in their Halloween outfits I ordered off Etsy. Unfortunately, Hazel only wore her dress for about 10 minutes. Good thing it should work as a shirt next year.
Our little ladybug is on the move! Levi isn't quite sure what to think of the little critter.

Hazel wants to know where her candy is.

This cowboy's just takin' a break.

Love. This.

Our sweet little kiddos in their Halloween gear.

Family Pic! Look at Hutch smiling at his Daddy. And look at the Hazel girl smiling at her Lolli (you can't see her but she was doing everything she could to get those two to smile.)

Look! It's Minnie Mouse! We were so excited that Tim, Jessie, and Lia came over to help us celebrate Halloween.

Hutch & his loot. It was quite a successful night, I must say. Of course, we did have to have a quick "Halloween Etiquette 101" pretty quick into the evening, as Hutch would just march right into people's homes. Once he figured out (& it didn't take long) how this whole "Trick or Treat" thing works, he was pretty excited.

Hope your Halloween was full of fun, too! Having kiddos, especially one little guy who really got it this year, made it such a great night. And we were even more blessed to spend it with wonderful family and friends. Here's to a great November & gearing up for the holidays!

Even though Hazel has been sick the past week, Hutch has been living it up and loving this fall weather. (Hazel is much better now, btw, and back to her old self!) We were so excited Jeremy's Mom made a trip in last Thursday to stay the weekend. They took Hutch to a Dude Ranch in Poplarville, MS, and he had a great time riding ponies, encountering a free-roaming pig (not sure if he considered this great but I sure have enjoyed hearing him re-tell the experience over and over again), and rolling around in a corn box. I hated I couldn't go, but I certainly did enjoy spending the day with my Hazel-girl, even though she was feeling a bit under-the-weather. Here are a few photos from the past week.

We made a trip to Utica on Sunday so Lynn could see my grandparent's place and land. We were able to come in for church & enjoy some of my grandmother's delish cooking afterwards. We then spent about an hour roaming around the beautiful countryside in my grandfather's pick up truck. Ah, I love, love, love that place.

Hutch loves our fall decorations, especially "Hutch" and "Hazel," his scarecrow friends.

All smiles in Utica last Sunday before heading to the fall festival.
Little boots.

Jeremy and his sweet Mama.

I love my minature cowboy!

Hutch, Me, Mee Maw, Paw Paw, Jeremy, and Lynn spending the day in Utica.

Hutch loved alot of things at the Utica Fall Festival, but I think the cotton candy ranked pretty high on his list.

Face Painting!

And more face painting! Hutch wanted ALL of the colors on his face.

I don't know about y'all, but I am SOOO excited it is Friday. We don't have too much planned this weekend. I think we are going to hit up fall festival #4 on Saturday in my parent's neighborhood. Hazel is pretty pumped because this will be the first one she can actually attend. I am heading to Greenville tomorrow with my Mom to help celebrate Laura Merrill's upcoming wedding with a ladies' brunch. We are getting geared up for Halloween on Monday- yay, I am so excited! I feel like a kid again. Hutch is going to get to dress up as a cowboy, yet again. And, Hazel will be looking super cute in her ladybug costume. My parents are coming over, along with Tim, Jessie, and their sweet Lia to hang out and hand out candy. The weather should be getting cooler this weekend, so it definitely will feel like fall! I hope y'all have a great weekend! XOXO

Family, Friends, and Football

We have had a blast the past couple of weekends spending time with family & friends. Carly, Marc, and Ryder came in a couple of weekends ago & we had so much fun just hanging out at my parents watching football. Here are a few pics from their trip:

Ryder & Hazel just a laughin'

Look at this sweet face.
My sweet Hazel

Up to no good, I am sure.

Hutch is going to teach Ryder alot of things. :)

Just playing on the patio!

Jessie & her sweet Lia Rose

Carly & Lia

We took about 20 pictures and there was not one where everyone was looking at the camera. Imagine that!

Patio time!

I think this is hilarious. And, yes, in case you are wondering- Hutch is in his underpants and cowboy boots.

The fair!

Hutch loved the slide

And Hazel loved the goats.

Hutch was an excellent driver.

But he especially loved the motorcycles.

We headed to Starkville this past weekend for the MSU v. USC game. My parents kept the kiddos all weekend so we could hang out with old friends. They came up for the game on Saturday so we had a blast spending time with everyone. And, I was really excited that alot of my college friends were able to meet H & H. The game was at 11, so we made it to the tailgate just in time to see the marching band enter the stadium.

My Mom scored us tickets to the Farm Bureau suite. I decided that is definitely the way to go. :) We had food, a private bathroom, a/c, a great view, and lots of room for Hutch to exert all the energy he could.

Football & mac 'n cheese. What more could you ask for.

Hazel said she thinks we should try get a suite everytime we go to a game.

And, Hutch met 2 cute blondes that he flirted with during the whole game.

We tried to get a good pic.

Hazel loved Ginger.

College friends! Ginger, me, Laura, and Kim- love these girls!

And Hutch loves his Ollie Cook.

Hazel & Rivers

Once again, thanks to my parents for watching Hutch & Hazel so we could have a weekend to ourselves! We had so much fun hanging out with friends all weekend. Have a great week!
